I sometimes think that reading all of these different books is pointless... and it may be.
I am trying to keep a good mix of fiction, which is not useless, and proven authors. Guys like Bonhoeffer have stood the test of time and are worthy of a look. As for every book out there about emergent churches and the future of the church... who cares. I still try to keep up to date and read a lot of those thoughts but ultimately, nothing is new under the sun.
